Co-Owner and Lead Technician

Hi there! I am a lover of music (drummer and vinyl collector) and sports (basketball, football, baseball, lacrosse, golf). I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have called many different parts of it home. I went to high school at Saint Ignatius in San Francisco and then to Loyola Marymount for college in Los Angeles where I studied Psychology and worked at the Early Childhood Education Center. I also spent summers as a staff member at the Lair of the Golden Bear UC Berkeley camp in Pinecrest, CA - a camp we would attend as a family each year as I was growing up. After college, I spent the next 2 years volunteering with AmeriCorps - first with their City Year program (Litte Rock, AR campus) and then the National Civilian Community Corps (Pacific/West Coast Region). Then I returned to the Bay Area to work as a computer and STEM teacher at White Oaks Elementary in San Carlos. From there, I was hired as a Customer Solutions Specialist for Clever Inc. in San Francisco, an education technology platform which focused on student access to learning applications and the safety of all their related data. Finally, before moving on to become the Lead Technician at Elevate, I was working as a Program Specialist at The Mindful Life Project based out of Richmond. It’s a non-profit set up to transform schools from the inside out with mindfulness based social-emotional learning.

I currently reside in Petaluma with my soon-to-be wife Delanie, while my immediate family are all lucky enough to call the town of Sonoma home. Including my Dad, Mark DeMenno, who inspired the origin of Elevate Sonoma. When he got his test results indicating early onset dementia in 2019, it hit our family like a tidal wave.  Our priorities shifted and led us to treat the present moment as some of the last we’d experience with my Dad as we knew him. My introduction to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy was when he heard it could be a mechanism for slowing down the decline of his brain in a significant way. He would tell us about his sessions down in LA where he’d go and stay with his wife, and do treatments while always rocking out to Pink Floyd and the sort. Right away he could tell that this treatment had made a positive shift for his mind and body. Now, here we are in 2026 - he is getting neurological test results saying that his brain function is average or above (a huge improvement from 5 years prior), and he has the wherewithal to found Elevate Sonoma in order to share this amazing healing with his community. In order to prepare for my role as Lead Technician, I have been certified as a HBOT technician by Oxygen Health Systems and completed the Safety Director’s course hosted by HBOT USA and the International Board of Undersea Medicine. I have also undergone many hyperbaric sessions myself, both in my dad’s soft shell home unit and the top of the line hard shell pods we have here at Elevate Sonoma.
