Full Body Red Light Therapy (RLT) at Elevate Sonoma before Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) can be helpful because it primes the body’s cells and circulation, making them more receptive to the oxygen boost that comes in HBOT.
Use the red light therapy bed before HBOT: 10–15 minutes full body.
Frequency: 3–5x/week or combined with HBOT sessions
Timing: Ideally right before the HBOT session so vasodilation and mitochondrial activation are at peak.
Wavelengths:
660 nm (red) – skin rejuvenation, inflammation, anti-aging light therapy, red light for skin and collagen
850 nm (infrared light therapy)– deeper tissue, muscle, brain, jointsHere’s why:
1. Increases Blood Flow Before Oxygen Loading
2. Stimulates Mitochondrial Energy Production
3. Reduces Pre-existing Inflammation
4. Enhances Nitric Oxide (NO) Release
5. Prepares the Nervous System- Relaxing -

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Eat lightly: Have a small meal or snack 1–2 hours before your session. Avoid heavy or greasy foods.
Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and recreational drugs for at least 12 hours before your session.
Skip perfumes, hair products, lotions, or oils—only clean, dry skin.
Remove all metal objects: jewelry, piercings, watches, hearing aids, or electronic devices.
Do not apply makeup or nail polish immediately before treatment.
Suggested to dress in 100% cotton clothing.
Bring water and reading glasses (if used)—contact lenses may feel dry under pressure.
2. Health & Medical Considerations
Please inform ELEVATE staff before your session if you have experienced any of the following:
Cold, sinus infection, congestion, or allergies
Ear or sinus surgery, ear injury, or difficulty equalizing pressure
Upper respiratory infection or bronchitis
Seizures, asthma flare-ups, or recent chest trauma
Claustrophobia or anxiety in enclosed spaces
Pregnancy or recent surgery (within 8 weeks)
New medications or recent changes in dosage
We may reschedule or adjust your session to keep you comfortable and safe.
3. When You Arrive
Arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in and pre-session orientation.
Use the restroom before entering the chamber.
Our team will review safety protocols and assist you in preparing for pressurization.
Relax—sessions are quiet, comfortable, and temperature-controlled.
-
During Your Session
You may feel gentle pressure in your ears as the chamber pressurizes—equalize by yawning, swallowing, moving your jaw or chewing on the gum provided by Elevate.
Breathe normally and focus on relaxation or light meditation.
Staff will monitor you throughout the session and adjust comfort settings as needed.
After Your Session
Take a moment before standing to allow your body to readjust.
Drink plenty of water to support detoxification and oxygen uptake.
Resume normal activities—many clients report feeling clear, relaxed, and refreshed.
